The International Festival of Performing Arts Timisoara came out
to the world in September 2015 as a new and ample event, an event which, since its first edition ,
had the purpose to support the development of performing arts and contemporary dance.
One thing was obvious: this artistic branch that is under-represented in Timisoara, needed
support and visibility. The Festival of Performing Arts is more than an event: it is the meeting
space between public and independent artists.It is the space where contemporary dance shows,
performances, theater plays, exhibitions, film presentations and debates find their common point.
After two editions, the purpose of the festival is clearer than ever: FAPT is a platform for
all the artists from Europe and beyond, that have a critical speech.
