PAVILION BANAT

Organizer: Triade Interart Foundation

Location: The Memorial of the Revolution

Program: 27.10.2017 – 26.11.2017

PAVILION BANAT is a Visual and Media Art Exhibition of regional importance which
implies initiatives for cooperation in the field of contemporary art at local, regional and
cross-border levels. The aim of the exhibition is to increase and stimulate the exchange
process in the field of contemporary artistic and theoretical practices. Despite the fact
that art should have no borders, we try through this project to discover regional cross
border pattern of artistic practices.
After the pilot exhibition BANAT PAVILION 2014, our endeavour is to continue the
aesthetic research initiated by this project focusing on the individual relationship
between historical, geographical, economical, emotional and other social conditions and
circumstances of life in the Banat region today. Considering Banat’s geographical and political evolution in Europe’s modern history, our project aims to identify a common
artistic DNA founded on Banat’s heritage, as well as a contemporary diversification of
artistic expressions and practices, based on our very different recent past.
